Red Flag Methodology

Rows highlighted in red meet one or more of the following criteria based on 990 data:

High surplus ratio: (Revenue − Expenses) / Revenue > 35%. An organization retaining more than 35 cents of every dollar may be accumulating reserves rather than delivering services.
Negative revenue entries indicate reporting anomalies or asset writedowns and are flagged for review.
Organizations with no 990 data on file with ProPublica are listed as N/A and may warrant direct inquiry to LAHSA.
